Seismic Data Brokerage

SEISCO offers third-party seismic data brokerage and research services to the oil and gas exploration community. 2D and 3D seismic data searches can be provided quickly, efficiently, and free of charge, utilizing our vast network of seismic data owners and vendors.

Digitization

With over 200 years of combined experience, SEISCO has lead the industry in the development of the transcription of analog pre-tape recorded seismic information.

SEISCO can convert from virtually any media (paper records, microfilm or microfiche) into a modern digital format, thus enhancing the value of older seismic data. This is especially important in areas where new data acqisition is either limited or impractical.

SEISCO also provides for the digitization of navigation data from shotpoint maps, with output available in most projections and data formats.

Tape Copy

SEISCO's tape copy and conversion facilities provide for conversion of all of the common format multiplexed tape data (including SEGA, SEGB, SEGC, SEGD, Westcode and GEOCOR) and de-multiplexed data (Phoenix, Phoenix I, SEGY and many other custom formats) into a common format SEGY output.

The standardization, cataloging and construction of an associated database retrieval system can significantly reduce lookup times, retrieval, and storage costs, thus greatly enhancing the value and usefulness of existing seismic databases.

Storage Management

SEISCO provides climate controlled storage facilities that accomodates most data storage requirements; including the custom data inventorying and cataloging along with document capture, database construction and the physical management of analog tapes, microfilm and microfiche, original seismic information, and all other associated paper information for its clientele's documents.

The data storage task can be as simple as warehousing documents for permanent storage, or a comprehensive data enhancement program customized for the clientele's internal needs.

A-D Conversion

SEISCO has in house facilities for the recapture of nearly all formats of analog seismic recording. This includes SIE, Techno, AM and FM formats, and Magnadisk.

Once digitally converted, the data is de-multiplexed and output in SEGY format to any of a number of media types, including 8mm format to any of a number of media types, including 8mm cartridge, DLT, and/or CD-ROM.
